SaaS enthusiast and entrepreneur

Richard has 5 years of experience heading up various technology companies, SaaS products and businesses.

Upon graduating from a Post Grad at UCT in Entrepreneurship Management, he was recruited for a position at a rapidly growing Telecommunications company which has since been acquired by a listed company. His key responsibility included heading up the Customer Success team, where his primary KPI’s were: Key account maintenance, Relationship management, Team management, Account profitability and growth, Data analytics and reporting and the overall well being of key accounts to the company. He also worked closely with his development team to make sure all integrations into any new client servers was seamless and executed in a timely way.

Upon leaving this company after 2 years, Richard was given the opportunity to take a Social Intelligence, MarTech SaaS company (​ Continuon –​ from an idea phase to market and into becoming an International SaaS company. His responsibilities entailed: Head of Product and Management, Business Strategies, Market disruption and Hyper Growth strategies, GTM strategies, CRM strategies (Client side), Data integrations as well as Business development. He has since handed over the product and company to new leadership after 3 years, to allow for focus on his own Mobile company, and sits on the board non-executive capacity at Continuon.

During the same time, Richard Co-Founded a Mobile centric SaaS startup​ (Apex Visibility –​ that is centered around providing Innovative Mobile Solutions via multiple Mobile touchpoints, and is responsible for Operations, Data analytics, Hyper-growth strategies, Marketing, New Product strategies and solutions and Company Management. He is currently an Executive Director for Apex Visibility which now works and services some of South Africa’s largest Financial institutions, FMCG brands, Retailers and agencies.

Richard also founded Retail brand, F​orecast°Raincoats(​. F​orecast° Raincoats represents a fine balance between style and outdoor convenience, with a touch of South African flare and local culture infused into their products. The brand aims to provide the outdoor rainwear market with a differentiated offering and a unique promise in this space. To date, Forecast Raincoats has been trading for over 4 years and has moved over 5000 units in the last 18 Months via E-commerce, Brand Collaborations and Wholesale clients. Richard sits in an executive role and handles all Finance, Strategy, Brand design and Channel growth.
